Hello Friends! As 2022 comes to an end I have had a chance to reflect on my return to the liquidation industry. John and Chuck were kind enough to welcome me into the SAM Family this year. SAM has been a great company to work for this past year. My family and I are looking forward to a productive 2022, as well.

I also took some time to reflect reflect on our nation as well in the past year. It has certainly been an interesting year in the United States. It is hard to get anyone to agree on much these days. However, I think we can all agree that we will be happy to see 2021 come to an end and have 2022 roll in!  I also believe that we can all (or at least most) agree that in 2022 a good New Year’s Resolution would be to help protect our planet for the next generation! Speaking as a father of two, it would be great to leave the planet better than we have found it!

At SAM Auctions, we have doubled down in our commitment to the planet in 2021 and will continue to grow our commitment in 2022, and beyond.  Sustainability is a core component of our standard services. We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and keeping our communities clean by acting responsibly for the benefit of our company, our clients, and the environment.

Our ZERO waste policy is based on three principles: REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE

REUSE: Every auction centers on keeping waste out of landfills. Materials are reused to stop waste at the source, and our showrooms and auctions repurpose thousands of items each year.
REDUCE: Our reduction efforts are aimed at conserving natural resources, reducing toxicity of waste, and minimizing waste disposal costs for our clients. We aim to minimize our trash dumpsters to one or less for each supermarket we work in.
RECYCLE: From printing our business cards on recycled paper, to using recycling bins throughout our corporate headquarters, to large-scale recycling at all job sites, our recycling efforts span the entire scope of our operations. In the field, we sort all items that cannot be reused – including metals, papers, plastic materials, and wood – and send them to local recycling yards.
